The Cavett Institute is an incredible one-day learning seminar that takes place the day before Influence 2015 ● NSA Convention. The Cavett Institute is designed specifically for aspiring speakers but features cutting-edge content that even long-time speakers can implement in to their speaking business. You will discover, as an aspiring/emerging speaker, there is much to learn in this incredible business called professional speaking. During this jam-packed event, you’ll hear from some of NSA’s masters, while you network with other Academy participants.

We'll begin with a welcome from Chair Patrick Henry, CSP, and incoming Chair Eliz Greene. Next, you’ll dive into hard-hitting content from top-leading experts in their fields. Learn from the very best on how to speak more, speak better, and make more money in your speaking business.

As part of this year’s Cavett Institute, you’ll also participate in an interactive session where you’ll learn what you should say and what you should avoid in positioning yourself for success on those very important calls with potential clients.

The Cavett Institute is $95 to all current Academy Participants and is presented as part of the Academy for Professional Speaking program. If you are not an Academy Participant and want to attend, you can register for $195*.

Who is Cavett Robert?
In 1972, Cavett Robert, CSP, CPAE, had a vision for an organization where professional speakers could come together to learn, exchange ideas, and share experiences. His vision came to fruition when the National Speakers Association was born in 1973. With very little promotion and mostly through word of mouth, NSA’s membership grew rapidly from 100 members in 1974, to more than 1,000 by 1980, and several thousand today. The Spirit of Cavett – his love, encouragement, generosity, and wisdom – has continued to pilot the Association as it grows. Today we continue to honor Cavett’s legacy through the Cavett Institute, sponsored by the NSA Academy for Professional Speaking.
